Grounding rituals anchor you in the now, giving you a solid foundation to build upon.
2. Awaken Your Body's Wisdom: Your body holds an immense reservoir of wisdom. Tune in to its whispers and shouts alike. Regular movement, mindful eating, and body scans can help you reconnect with your physical self, leading to better decision-making and self-care. Sometimes, it will want to roar, to scream, to howl, let it. Other times, it just wants to be held, let it. The more you stop judging your body’s needs, the clearer your channel becomes.
3. Prioritize Self-Care as a Non-Negotiable: Self-care isn't selfish; it's an act of radical self-recognition. “This is something that makes me happy so I am going to do it regardless of excuses and criticism.” Just schedule it into your daily routine without compromise. Whether it's a bubble bath, a good book, or a walk in nature, nourish your soul consistently.
4. Visualise Your Life Every Day: I get it, sometimes life is so difficult, visualisation is a drag. It feels like everything is a lie. But just because life is difficult, why should it mean you don’t get to have fun while at it? Close your eyes and picture the life you desire. It’s where your brain finds peace, doesn’t it? Visualisation is like creating a mental roadmap to your dreams. When you can see it, you can manifest it.
5. Craft a Weekly Plan: Break your grand aspirations into weekly, actionable steps. A plan not only provides direction but also fuels motivation as you check off your accomplishments. Baby steps. Teeny-tiny baby steps are all you need.
6. Set Clear and Empowering Boundaries: Boundaries are your secret superpower. They safeguard your energy and preserve your sense of self. Be crystal clear about what you will and won't accept and do them regardless of who the person is in front of you.
7. Delve into Somatic Practices: Dive into practices that bridge the gap between mind and body. Yoga, dance, vigorous shaking, and a simple body scan meditation foster a deeper connection within yourself. Jumping up and down like a monkey does the trick too apparently. (No but seriously, how many times we have looked like one while doing these practices?) Just don’t judge yourself. Have fun.
8. Shake Those Heavy Emotions OUT: Emotions are meant to flow, not stagnate. (Emotions = Energy in MOTION). Put on your favorite music and have a dance-off, or simply shake your body like a tree shedding leaves. Release the heaviness.
9. Cry and Let It Go: Tears are cathartic. Allow yourself to cry, scream into a pillow, or journal your heart out. Letting go of pent-up emotions is a liberating act.
